IThe Story

Those who followed the Star and found Jesus.

This holiday season, Prodigal Road Ministries invites our community to take its place in an original dance production following the timeless story of the Wisemen. Through movement, music, faith, and storytelling, The Journey of the Magi traces the path of those who followed the Star and found Jesus.

This is more than a performance. It is a community effort bringing together dancers, families, churches, and neighbors to create a sacred story through dance. Local participants of different ages, backgrounds, skill levels, and experience are welcome.

Every person who auditions will receive a role. Auditions are held so Sharnice Taylor Farmer can recognize each participant's strengths and place them where they will shine most brightly within the story.

  • Participants may share their interest in lead, supporting, or ensemble roles.
  • Casting preferences do not guarantee a particular assignment.

IIIHow Participation Works

Five steps from the first form to the first rehearsal.

  1. Register for auditions

Complete the online form or register in person at auditions.

  2. Attend auditions

Sharnice will evaluate movement, interests, experience, and where each participant can best serve the story.

  3. Receive a role and registration level

Every person who auditions receives a role. Sharnice assigns the corresponding registration level.

  4. Pay in person at auditions

Registration fees are given directly to Sharnice Taylor Farmer, either in cash or by check made payable to Prodigal Road Ministries.

  5. Receive the role announcement

Once Sharnice finalizes the assignment, the system automatically emails the participant or parent or guardian with the role, level, fee, inclusions, personal items required, and rehearsal information.

Please note

There is no online payment. This website does not include a checkout page, payment button, payment link, or card field. Registration fees are paid only in person, by cash or check, to Sharnice Taylor Farmer at auditions.

VScholarships

A Place in the Story Should Not Depend on Ability to Pay

We do not want financial hardship to prevent a child from participating. Families who cannot afford the assigned cast registration fee may privately request scholarship consideration.

If you would like to help provide a registration scholarship for a child whose family cannot afford to participate, contact Prodigal Road Ministries at 830-285-6385.

Scholarship requests are handled privately. The registration form includes a discreet checkbox and never asks families to explain financial hardship or provide documents.
